From Scraps to Comfort: Lululemon x The Mills Fabrica Partnership

Lululemon, a brand known for its commitment to health, wellness, and sustainability, recently partnered with The Mills Fabrica and RHYS Workshop to create patchwork pillows for homeless individuals in Hong Kong. RHYS Workshop is a social enterprise that empowers underprivileged women and people of differences through inclusive fashion design.

In this project, Lululemon provided scrap fabric for the patchwork pillows, with stuffing made from recycled fabrics offered by our supporting partner The Billie System by Novetex, a leader in sustainable textile innovation. The collaboration also included a workshop for Lululemon's staff, providing them with hands-on experience in the production process while empowering them to become more engaged and invested in the company's values.

The result was a range of beautiful and functional pillows that were donated to Impact HK for use at their hostels and co-living apartments, community centers as well as distribution to individuals in need. This collaboration is an excellent example of how brands can use their resources and influence to make a positive impact in the community, while also promoting sustainability and social responsibility.

On the other hand, the collaboration also highlights the importance of supporting social enterprises and providing training and employment opportunities to underprivileged communities.

As an ecosystem builder at the intersections of businesses, innovations, and sustainability, The Mills Fabrica is excited to work with more like-minded brands, like Lululemon, to drive positive impact to our community.
