Most consumer goods in stores are made from synthetic fibers derived from fossil fuel, a worrying issue contributing to more greenhouse gas emissions and environmental degradation. Every second, an estimated one rubbish truck of textile waste ends up in landfills or incinerated yearly, contributing to releasing greenhouse gas emissions as they decompose.

'Biomaterials' are a promising solution for the future to accelerate sustainable innovations in the material space. Scientists and industry are collaborating to develop alternatives such as 100% biodegradable material from fruit waste to shift our value chain towards circularity.

Join our tactile journey with Biomaterials, brought to you by Fabrica X and Fidelity International, through our curated selection of game-changing Material Innovators, selected Sustainable Brands commercializing innovative materials and immersive nature-based workshops at the forefront of different industry. Both Fidelity International and Fabrica X believe in the importance of building a more sustainable future by cultivating an eco-conscious mindset.

The future of sustainability is a paradigm shift starting in industries and businesses and shaping consumer behaviours. The naturally culminated collaborative partnership between Fabrica X and Fidelity International identified one of the key drivers to a more sustainable future is Biomaterials, which encourages regenerative practices, utilizing waste and microbiology to create a more sustainable future.

The program is brought to you by Fabrica X, sponsored by Fidelity International and our Knowledge Partner Biofabricate, and supported by Lenzing Group.
