Xtant is a lifelong project started in 2018 by Kavita Parmar and Marcella Echavarria. Both after having worked for over 20 years with craftspeople
around the world felt the urgency to bring together and align a community to ensure the future of heritage craft.
Xtant have been building a passionate community around heritage textile craft and its shared values of preservation, respect, innovation and collaboration. Through physical and online events, Kavita and Marcella aim to inspire, to savour – not consume – to collect and help preserve this rich ancient know-how.
