Colorifix was founded by two synthetic biologists who were developing biological sensors to monitor heavy metal contamination in drinking water in rural Nepal.
While testing these sensors in Kathmandu, Jim and Orr began to learn about the enormous impact of the dyeing industry on water and human health; and realised that, rather than simply monitoring the problem, they had the tools to solve it. With some creativity and a bit of luck, Colorifix was founded in 2016.

Role description:
We are looking for an energetic Business Development Associate to join our team! As a Business Development Associate, you will be responsible for conducting market research, promoting company products and building client relationships, whilst being in a unique position as the bridge between our technical teams and our customers. As part of the business development team, you will get the opportunity to represent the company at Trade Fairs and visit external partners.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Dealing with inbound enquiries and assisting in developing a sales plan
- Daily support within the Business and Implementation team
- Generate new business leads and support established client base
- Set and manage customer expectations, meeting with prospective clients.
- Maintain knowledge of key competitor activities
- Provide technical information and coordinate presentations when required
- Keeping on top of administrative tasks – such as updating CRM (customer relationship management systems).
Role Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Ability to think creatively and strategically
- Great interpersonal, communication, and presentational skills
- Strong commercial and negotiating skills
- Good communicator and flexible team player that is committed to the success of the team.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a professional environment.
- Strong commitment to sustainability.

- Experience in B2B.
- CRM tools.
- Account management
- Highly organised individual
- Textile/fashion industry awareness
- Availability to travel
Title: Business Development Associate
Reports to: CCO
Location: Norwich
Remuneration: £25-28.000
Holidays: 25 + BH + Birthday
