Job description:

Supported by the senior management team, you will be responsible for driving sales efforts for The Supplant Company’s flagship CPG product line(s) across independent retailers and grocery stores on the East Coast. This role will involve sourcing new customers as well as supporting with management of existing accounts. This is an exciting, fast-paced role that offers broad exposure to sales and marketing functions with significant opportunity for career progression.


  • Complete sales cycle management: from lead generation through to negotiating and closing sales.
  • Planning and executing outbound sales campaigns by email, cold calling, trade shows and site visits.
  • Relationship management with both new and existing accounts.
  • Ensuring sales collateral is up to date, collaborating with Marketing and Creative teams where needed.
  • Developing and monitoring incentive programs, contests, etc. to keep Supplant Company products top-of-mind
  • Providing outstanding customer service by educating customers about The Supplant Company’s products and mission.
  • Conduct periodic business reviews and category analyses with customers in order to monitor brand performance, build meaningful relationships and re-affirm sales strategies.
  • Ensuring that all related POS (e.g. secondary displays, shelf talkers, on-pack coupons, etc.) are ordered in the right quantities and utilized effectively in the marketplace.
  • Conducting store audits (with broker management and/or field sales reps where possible) to ensure merchandising standards are adhered to and promotional activities are being carried out effectively.
  • Requesting and analyzing distribution reports to determine market coverage and opportunities for future growth. Assessing and continuously questioning how to improve the way we operate.
  • Demonstrating high level of energy and professionalism when representing the company.


  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Proven track record of success in past roles.
  • Prior sales experience highly desirable (CPG sales experience preferred) but not essential.
  • Experience using CRM software (e.g. HubSpot) preferred but not essential.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not essential.
  • Keen to work in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Passionate about The Supplant Company’s mission.


Compensation: Competitive base salary, plus bonus and benefits
