The Role

We are looking for a Demand Planner to ensure an appropriate level of stock is available for the sales targets to be achieved. The right candidate should be agile managing uncertainty, collaborating with internal stakeholders (brand partnership team, sales teams, and logistics).

This position is based in Lisbon and will be reporting to the Merchandising & Sales Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities

 

Putting in place excellency in the operational processes and solutions for the company. Within this:

  • Assembling and analysing all data pertinent to creating the sales forecast (historical sales, market trends, seasonality, promotions) and purchasing needs (stocks, transits, lead times, MOQ)
  • Assessing Brands & Retailers performance in terms of fill rates and lead times and adjusting forecast models as appropriate
  • Working with the brands partnership team to ensure inventory is made available in a timely manner and its impact on future order quantities
  • Identifying slow moving products and actively track the performance of sales mechanisms to clear these products or initiate delisting or clearance
  • Working with the brands partnership team to develop sales assumptions of new brand/retailer
  • Lead of S&OP meetings
  • Continuous review of KPIs and adjusting forecasting models to ensure KPIs are hit.
  • Continuously improving forecasting techniques, method, and approach

Requirements

 

  • 4+ years of experience in a demand/supply planning role
  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field preferred
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
  • FMCG experience preferred
  • Advanced Excel capabilities required
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with brand partnership, Sales, and other 
  • Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work
  • Hands-on and solution-oriented
  • Self-starter and autonomous
  • Excellent Communication Skills in English (verbal, written)
