The Data team at abillion is looking to hire a Data Analyst to harness the wealth of data on our platform and generate actionable insights. The ultimate goal is to improve user experience, accelerate business growth, and eliminate internal inefficiencies. The Data team’s role is to design, develop, and deploy data models, leverage data insights to power critical business and product decisions, and produce high quality research for the plant-based investment community. This is an exciting and challenging role that involves cross-team collaboration with the Growth, Product, Business Development, and Content teams. You can expect to work on high impact projects, and should be prepared to move fast and adapt quickly. You are also someone with experience analysing data and are able to help communicate insights.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Design, generate, and monitor regular, automated analytical reports for product surveillance and business intelligence
  • Work with internal stakeholders and support KPI development and tracking through data gathering, cleaning, and wrangling
  • Present data insights and practical recommendations from data findings to wider team, including non-technical individuals
  • Write efficient database queries to fill data gaps and conduct ad-hoc analysis on emerging trends
  • Occasionally work with Data Scientists to conduct in-depth data investigations and UX research studies on a specific business or product topic

 

Requirements:

  • Degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or other quantitative fields
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in data analytics (e.g., data visualisation, database queries, dashboarding, data wrangling, and manipulation etc.), and managing large datasets across multiple sources and tools
  • Proficient in Python, MongoDB, and experience with third-party tools such as Amplitude/MixPanel, Google Analytics, and Metabase
  • Strong command of English and presentation skillsPro-active, creative, and able to work independently
  • Ability to work well independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced start-up environment
